WAITING FOR YOU

WAITING FOR YOU

Music and Lyrics by Sharon Eliashar

The Winter chill upon my face, brings me to a place of grace

and I’m waiting for you

The smoke that rises from the hill brings me to a place of still

and I’m waiting for you.

How can I feel darkness when the moon is shining sunlight back on me?

The desert sun beats down on me, I shade beneath an olive tree

and I’m waiting for you.

The deepest pool is drinking me and singing me my melody

and I’m waiting for you.

How can I feel sadness in a world so full of beauty, so serene?

Stay your Vineyard next to me

One thousand birds are flying free

And when I stand with you, I feel

The stars hang heavy on the night like fruit so ripe

and I’m waiting for you

The dates are fallen from the tree and open with delicacy

and are waiting for you.

How can I be lonely when I know that you also wait for me?
